- Moisture Content: Low, around 5% – 6% maximum.
- Oil Content: High, 65% – 70%.
- Cleanliness: Free from mold, dirt, and smoky odor.
- Process: Dried using an oven (oven-dried) or sun-dried (sun-dried) in a hygienic manner.
2. Smoked/Brown Copra (Smoke/Mixed Copra)
This type of copra is commonly available in the market and is usually used as raw material for industrial cooking oil.
- Color: Brown to dark brown (due to the smoking process).
- Moisture Content: Slightly higher than white copra, but expected to remain below 7% – 8%.
- Aroma: Has a distinctive smoky aroma.
